6.0 on-wards has a scheduled that if you are not on during X or Y period you will be behind. 4.0 was one of the best patches for this game but it also stepped over the line with to much content locked behind instances in a PvPvE open world game. If developers give players the tools to focus solely on progression then players will do so.Īll this is not to say that you could not find nuggets of fun from 4.0>7.5 because you could/can. Combine this with the fact anyone that wanted a PvP fix was going to high rate PvP P-servers Aion was all but a progression based game that lacked decent progression based content. It affected PvP so much that instead of PvPing in PvP content you opted out for faster progression because rank was important to many players.
